Treasuring Your Memories
Every trophy holds a story.Ours is to keep it true.
A trophy is the memory of a stalk, a morning in the field and the people you shared it with. At Timoland Taxidermy we treat it that way. Tim personally oversees every project, and you are involved in the decisions that matter: the pose, the habitat and the finish.
We are an independent studio in Bathurst, in the Eastern Cape between Gqeberha and East London. We welcome trophies from hunts anywhere in South Africa, and international clients can work with us entirely from home.

How we work
From the field to your wall
- 01
Talk it through
Tell us the species and what you have in mind. We send the price list and advise on the finish that will suit the trophy and the space.
- 02
Design together
We agree the pose, the expression and any habitat or base with you before work begins. Your input shapes the piece.
- 03
Craft
Tim and his team work on your trophy in our studio in Bathurst, with Tim personally overseeing every stage.
- 04
Finish by hand
Eyes, skin tones and fine detail are painted and airbrushed by hand until the piece looks the way you remember it.

Tim Olwage
Born in Zimbabwe. Raised on farms. A taxidermist since 2001.
Tim grew up hunting, fishing and, by his own admission, collecting dead snakes in bottles. That curiosity became a career: sixteen years helping build one of South Africa's leading taxidermy studios, processing thousands of trophies, before opening Timoland in 2023.
- 2001 Learning the craft
- 2004 Building a leading studio
- 2020 Back to the land
- 2023 Timoland Taxidermy
Passion
A lifelong love of wildlife, from farm childhood in Zimbabwe to the workbench today.
Dedication
Every trophy carries a memory. We give it the attention to detail that deserves.
Professionalism
High standards of craftsmanship and clear, honest communication from first call to handover.
Integrity
You are involved in the decisions: pose, habitat and finish are agreed with you, not for you.
